New Liverpool away kit harks back to the 90’s

Liverpool FC and Nike have launched the new away kit for next season.

The green and white design is reminiscent of the 95/96 Adidas away shirt, as worn by the likes of Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman and Stan Collymore, but with a modern ‘Minecraft’ look and feel.

While that was a relatively fruitless decade, the Reds will be hoping to push for more glory next season.

The new kit has black shorts, black name and number, and white socks with a black and green trim.

The 97 emblem encased by the Eternal Flames sits proudly at the nape of the neck in memory of those who lost their lives as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.
