The right-back is days away from entering the final six months of his contract and will be able to talk to interested clubs.
It has become less and less likley over the last few months that Trent will sign a new deal, with persistent rumours that he wants to hook up with his ‘best friend’ Jude Bellingham at the Bernabeu.
Marca claim that Alexander-Arnold has already made it clear that he wants to join Real Madrid, informing his current employers of his decision during their latest attempt to convince him to extend.
If, as expected, Liverpool do lose Trent at the end of the season, they have Conor Bradley but a new right-back will be top of Arne Slot’s shopping list over the next dew months.
