Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli will not face any further punishment for throwing the ball at Conor Bradley and trying to push him off the field during Thursday night’s goalless draw at The Emirates.
The Brazilian international was issued a yellow card by match referee Anthony Taylor at the time, and quickly issued an apology after the match via his Instagram account, when he realised the seriousness of Bradley’s injury.
“Conor and I have messaged and I have already apologised to him,” he later said. “I really didn’t understand he was seriously injured in the heat of the moment.
“I want to say I’m deeply sorry for reacting. Sending Conor all my best again for a quick recovery.”
