Arne Slot faced the press on Thursday morning, ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
He gave an injury news update regarding Jeremie Frimpong and Joe Gomez.
“Jeremie will definitely not train this week, so he’s not available for the weekend,” he said. “With Joe, we have a little bit of hope that he might train Saturday.
“So, not available to start but maybe available to help the team if needed during the game because, as you already know, there are not that many defenders available at the moment.”

Ibrahima Konate is expected to play on Sunday, having returned early from compassionate leave, while Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to fill in at right-back again.
