Liverpool are on the verge of signing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia in a £34m deal, according to reports.
It is believed that once the transfer is completed Mamardashvili will remain at the Spanish club on loan for the rest of the season.
This appears to be a long-term plan to ensure the Reds have cover for Alisson should Caoimhin Kelleher move on at some point either during this transfer window or in the New Year.
