Ryan Gravenberch scored the first goal in Liverpool’s 2-1 home win over Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
It was an emotional game, with both clubs paying tribute to their former player Diogo Jota and Gravenberch replicated Jota’s famous ‘Baby Shark’ goal celebration after scoring.
“I think always when you score you have a really good feeling,” he said. “It was a really nice assist from Jeremie as well and I saw the gap on the right side and it went nicely.
“I think in the first half we played really good. We created good chances and scored two goals.
“Then what you see in the second half, we’ve conceded again at a set-piece and then they know they can maybe score the next one and they come.
“But I think at the end we fight and we showed character.”
The result makes it four wins on the bounce for the Reds and unbeaten in the last seven in all competitions, as they seek to regain their form after the October/November dip.
